After three years of City2Surf and Sydney Mara 10km, I decided to push further.
Twenty-one point one kilometres. My first half marathon. Carman's Fun Run in Sydney.
I finished. Standing up. And loud, for anyone who knows me, of course I whooped at the finish line. (Yes I'm a wooh-er.)
This one felt different.
Not just because of the distance. Because I wasn't just running for a time. I was running for breast cancer awareness. For the friends and family the day was really about. For the community around us.
I ran head-to-toe in Aktibo (except my shoes ha!) including a sneak peek at a running belt we're trialling for a future capsule. The guys ran in our Active Men's Shorts. Road-tested over 21.1 kilometres.
This is why I started Founder On The Run. To share not just my "why" for running -but to show that our pieces aren't just designed. They're lived in. Tested. And refined by us.
Grateful for this run. This cause. And this crew.
